Implementing MHPSS services in a participatory manner.
Providing individual counselling to clients on a one-to-one or group basis (working remotely if needed).
Planning and monitoring the individual, group mental health, and psycho-social support activities in collaboration with community psycho-social volunteers, mother volunteers, play leaders, and paracounsellors.
Supervising the cases of paracounsellors and master trainers of BRAC Bangladesh and BRAC International countries through individual or group supervision.
Maintaining liaison and communication with relevant stakeholders, including BRAC International and respective country teams, to ensure MHPSS initiatives are efficiently carried out.
Develop, conduct training, and facilitate short courses for different stakeholders.
Developing and adapting information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to promote MHPSS services among the community.
Assisting in developing modules and other MHPSS-related materials for paracounsellors (PC) and community psychosocial volunteers (CPVs) and providing MHPSS training to them.
Monitoring indicators and targets, as well as collecting daily data and sharing it with the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation team (MEAL).
Regular participation in research work, data collection, and report writing.
Initiating and conducting meetings for sharing, learning, and ongoing improvement of activities through the development and upkeep of relationships with other MHPSS actors
Job Location: Dhaka, with travel outside of Dhaka as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology from any reputed university
Working as a senior psychologist and a psychologist, respectively, requires 1-2 years and 3- 4 years of expertise in the MHPSS area.
Willingness to travel for work within Bangladesh as needed.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Can work independently and in teams.
Preferred Additional Experience:
Strong background and skills in facilitating training, workshops, and awareness sessions with different age groups from diverse academic backgrounds and organisations.
The ability to provide training in both face-to-face and online formats and engage with learners actively.
Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Enjoy working as a team member, both within the organisation and in conjunction with external stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
