Position Summary
BRAC Institute of Educational Development (BRAC IED) is seeking qualified and experienced
professionals for the position of Deputy MHPSS Officer / MHPSS Coordinator / Lecturer –
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). The selected candidate will provide
technical leadership in clinical service delivery, teaching, mental health programming,
supervision, and organisational capacity development across Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced individual and group counselling services both physically and online.
- Lead the design and facilitation of training sessions, workshops, and learning activities.
- Evaluate learning outcomes and ensure quality assurance in learning delivery.
- Supervise psychosocial service providers, tele-counsellors, and field-based psychosocial staff.
- Lead the development of modules, manuals, and curricula related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Provide tele-counselling services through the Moner Jotno platform.
- Lead implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of psychosocial and mental health programmes.
- Support proposal development, donor reporting, strategic planning, and programme coordination.
- Collaborate on research initiatives, evidence-generation activities, and programme documentation.
- For Lecturer applicants: Co-teach three courses per semester in the MSc in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programme.
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in any discipline of Psychology from a reputed university.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in a related field.
- For Lecturer applicants: Minimum 1st Class / A Grade / CGPA 3.5 in at least three academic examinations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bangla and English.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
