Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and timely delivery of research projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data
  • Create, pilot, and refine data collection tools to ensure reliability and validity
  • Develop data entry templates using platforms like Kobo Toolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, and/or TaroWorks
  • Train and supervise field research assistants, manage field activities, and ensure smooth implementation of research protocols
  • Analyze collected data using appropriate tools and methodologies, contributing to drafting research reports
  • Conducting literature reviews, preparing concept notes, and developing proposals
  • Addressing cultural sensitivities, team coordination, and dynamic field conditions during data collection
  • Resolving challenges with digital tools and ensuring data accuracy and security
  • Ensure Accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data collected and analyzed
  • Effectively design and deployment of data collection tools, along with efficient training and supervision of field teams
  • Upholding ethical standards while meeting diverse stakeholder expectations

Job Location: Cox’s Bazar & Dhaka​

Basic Requirements:

  • MSc in ECD/Psychology/Public Health/Sociology from any reputed University
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in research particularly in the field of Education, Psychology, Public Health, or Sociology.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Report Writing and Data Analysis (Quantitative & Qualitative)
  • Ability to understand and speak in Chittagong dialect will be given preference

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

Sr. Staff Researcher / Researcher Associate

The candidate must be willing to build a career in educational research and evaluation.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Design educational research as per the needs of the organisation. This includes reviewing the literature and preparing concept notes/proposals.
  • Draft data collection tools and finalise them through piloting.
  • Training of field research assistants, field supervision and overall management.
  • Data analysis and report writing.
  • Work in groups and support others in similar activities.
  • Plan and conduct research independently.

Basic Requirements

  • Master's or MPhil degree from a reputed university abroad (Europe/North America).
  • Strong knowledge in statistics.
  • Minimum one publication in a peer-reviewed renowned journal.
  • Strong quantitative background with ability to analyse data using software like SPSS, STATA or R.
  • Understanding of education systems and research in Bangladesh.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills that can establish and maintain strong working relationships inside and outside of the organisation.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to think, assess and analyse critically.
  • Ability to travel frequently outside of the city for official purposes.
  • Able to make strategic recommendations as a part of the evaluation process.
  • Ensure consistency in objectives and using success indicators to deliver timely and relevant reports.
