About Course

The course discusses key theories, concepts, and techniques to create an enhanced and effective teaching-learning experience for learners. It covers children and adult learning theories, pedagogic approaches, and major concepts related to assessment and curriculum. After completing this course participants will be able to apply the learner-centered pedagogy principles with increased awareness regarding equity, fairness, and inclusion in teaching and learning to establish an effective learning environment for learners.

Course Objectives

  • Developing an understanding on the key learning theories and basic pedagogic approaches to establish an effective learning environment
  • Developing the basic principles, concepts, and underlying assumptions of curriculum.
  • Developing an understanding of the importance of assessment, different measurement tools and approaches of effective assessment approaches.
  • Developing an understanding of cultural differences in learning equity, biasness and inclusion in teaching and learning.
