Children can participate in play-based learning and activities that promote holistic childhood development in BRAC’s play-based Play Labs. The playthings are created from inexpensive or free local resources, just like the BRAC Play Lab. The Play Labs are spread out over many worlds (Dream World, or the shopner bhubon, Color World, or the rong er bhubon, Story World, or the golper bhubon, Private World, or the apon bhubon, and Outdoor World, or the bairer bhubon) and are made to be kid-friendly and entertaining.
BRAC IED presented a session on “Non-Formal Early Childhood Development” on the third day from 12 to 1 PM. Nahid Parvin, Senior Manager-Early Childhood Development at BRAC IED, BRAC University, and Taslima Begum, Research Associate at BRAC IED, BRAC University, hosted the talk. They have emphasized BRAC IED’s efforts to provide innovative ways for children to become involved, empathetic, and empowered individuals.
