What if your work could shape both a business and a generation? The BRAC Institute of Educational Development (BRAC IED) and BRAC Kumon Limited recently hosted an exclusive webinar for BRAC IED alumni, bringing together graduates of the Master of Education in Educational Leadership and School Improvement (MEd) and the Master of Science in Early Childhood Development (MECD) to explore career pathways in education enterprise and leadership.
BRAC IED MEd & ECD Alumni Leading with BRAC Kumon

Moderated by Sakeef Mahboob Bin Ahsan, Lead of Business Growth & Strategy at BRAC Kumon Limited, a BRAC IED MEd graduate, the session highlighted how educators can expand their professional journeys by establishing and leading education-focused initiatives and learning centers through BRAC Kumon Ltd. The webinar also featured Masuma Talukder Tinni, a graduate of BRAC IED’s ECD programme and Franchise Owner and Instructor of the BRAC Kumon Banasree Center, who shared practical insights from her professional journey.
Beginning her career as a school teacher, Masuma later joined Kumon as an instructor and pursued her master’s degree at BRAC IED. Through her studies, she strengthened her expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, child development, assessment, mentoring, and educational leadership. Over time, she transitioned into becoming a Kumon instructor, applying these competencies to support children’s academic growth while leading a community-focused learning center. Her experience demonstrates how strong academic preparation combined with professional training and an entrepreneurial mindset can open pathways to leadership roles within the education sector.

BRAC Kumon Limited, in collaboration with the Kumon Institute of Education, Japan, brings the globally recognized Kumon Method—supported by over 60 years of global experience—to Bangladesh. Since launching its first center in Dhanmondi in 2017, BRAC Kumon has expanded to multiple locations across Dhaka and Chattogram, contributing to accessible, skill-based learning opportunities for children.
