This course will take parents on a journey from exploring different components of parenting, knowing about the myths, different cultural aspects of parenting, theories connected to parenting styles, and types of parenting to applying them to real-life contexts. This course covers topics for those planning to be a parent, as well as those who want to continue the journey of parenting with more comfort and confidence as well as designing different parenting programs. Based on different age cohorts, parents need to understand their children’s emotions & respond accordingly. Parent-child communication plays a vital role in addressing these emotions properly. Positive parenting can help a child tremendously by encouraging healthy brain development and emotional wellbeing. Techniques of parenting, the art of making secure attachment with the child, enriching quality time, and rearing a child with mental challenges will help parents having children with special needs. This parenting course is an opportunity to meet with professionals, interact with other parents and address a whole range of issues and subjects related to parenting for 0 to 11-year-old children.
1. Support and strengthen existing parenting abilities by identifying and describing individual styles of parenting
